When I rang for my plaque the lady said as far as they know my was the first uk car, and that the first 6 are registered in Wolfsburg 

I was a bit mythed when I saw members saying that they had numbers 3 and 5.

Was a chap a few years back who was looking at buying 0003 but can't remember who. IIRC the first ones were all cars for press etc to play with on tracks.

In my country, Portugal, the VW importer had an Ed. 30 (the 1st in the country) for press presentations and they kept it for 7/8 years at least. It's now privately owned by a young man (in his thirty).

Well it has an MOT but is SORN so off the road

The 1st off the line with RHD should have been better spec'd, preferably full extras to show what the car can have. It would have been much nicer as the 1st car. Other than that it suffers from being pre-2007 and lacks a lot of revised parts.

I agree, they should have fitted all the factory extras to show what a machine it can be.

I mean mine is a OY56 OX* and No 0067 so not long after it but that god the owner decided to at least fit Factory Xenons which this has not even got
