Well...bye bye .:R32
« on: July 07, 2011, 08:54:25 pm »
Been a while since my last update, crazy times for sure!

Spent the week at Goodwood festival of Speed, I'm now director of motorsport for a company that specialises in getting injured troops into racing etc so we took our rally cars there to display alongside our bowler nemesis (you may have seen it thundering up the hill climb track over the weekend!)

Our times around the rally stage put many to shame, we even beat ken block on the saturday! and that was with a passenger  who says freelanders are for school runs eh

Was good to meet up with a few famous faces (i wont name drop) and some familiar ones too eh hedge  :drinking:

lots happening in the coming weeks, were provisionally going to air with the top gear peice either the weekend of the 20th or the following one, i wont be in the studio as i simply dont have the time to get there but some of our lads will be and possibly send a car there too, so watch out for that one  :happy2: we're known as "Project Mobility" and should have a 9 minute segment. once its gone to air i'll post some shots of the filming for all you hammond and TG fans to see, also will shove some goodwood shots up too!

So the .:R .....aside from the fact i am going to miss it someone hunted me down and offered me a price for it and because i simply dont use it i decided to let it go  :sad1: i will miss it thats for sure but considering i only ever get in it every month or so its the best move, add to the fact that my car collection is getting silly its not a bad move

still have a V6 though.. although its a TDV6 HSE that i bought for the mrs (discovery) - not a bad bit of kit, helps pull the odd rally car around too!

gunna sell my defender which was my pull vehicle and get my peaches into an Audi, thinking something saloony or drop top or maybe both... who knows! i'm away in europe for august so will be on my return anyways so time to decide

TC... loving that lotus mate  :congrats: i spent some time with lotus at the FoS although mainly the F1 guys, the current road lineup is staggeringly good looking

Hope your all well and life is good, sorry for the lack of attendance but i havent forgotten you guys

Great news on the job side of things, sounds pretty interesting and I am sure you'll get to 'hob nob' with some more well known faces.

Would the sound of something like this http://www.millteksport.com/media.file.cfm?fileid=882 satisfy the void left by the departure of the .:R?

Well done mate. Sad to see the VC-mobile go. Hope you visit us from time to time!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
