My EOS
« on: April 07, 2011, 07:33:09 pm »

Finally got round to getting a few pics today, weather being so nice etc. By no means looking its best but not bad after two weeks without a wash, that's the beauty of light metallics! The inside is still a mess while I'm trying to paint the centre console so no interior pics yet, maybe in a few weeks.

Regards,
John

Very nice car.

It'd be nice to see the interior but alas, I guess we have to wait.

Here's a few from today after painting the armrest part of centre console. I've got a spare front part which I've painted but damaged the paint trying to work it in past the handbrake so it's back to rubbing it all down and starting again. I used plastic primer but I think it needs some real etching material, any suggestions would be welcome. I'll fit the posh cup holder while I'm at it. I'm also considering doing the whole lot in leather including the handbrake lever and the shift gaiter, again, any suggestions/tips would be welcome.

Regards,

John

That is a fantastic match! Looks awesome!  :congrats:

The only question I now have is would it have been possible to wrap the console in the same red leather?

Yeah,
That's the way I'd go if I choose the leather route, still hummin an harrin to be honest! I'm retired with too much time on my hands, that's the problem. lol

Well I eventually got round to putting my centre console back together after giving it a facelift. Still waiting for a couple of buttons to fill the blanks and a bit of touch up required in the front left hand inner corner (out of normal sight) but you can get the general idea. Probably not to everyone's taste but as is so often said on here, ETTO.

John

Spent a few hours in the sun today with a needle and thread and came up with these, not the real thing but close enough for £1.40 worth of poly thread.
Can easily be unpicked or changed if the mood takes me.

John
