Bra? yey or ney?
« on: July 10, 2011, 10:55:57 am »
Morning morning!

I'd like to start by apologising for the disappointing topic title. I know if id have seen it, id have expected something abit better!

Anyway. Bonnet bra. What are people opinions?

I bought one the other day for long journeys, but i'm unsure if I like the look...

Discuss..  :drinking:  :popcornsoda:

Helps  Look after your paint and you dont see it while at the wheel , so yes from me  :happy2:

I have a full mask for the autobahn to try and help look after my front end, looks sh*t on (gimp mask?) but serves a purpose

I've had one on the mk4 anni, mainly for purpose, to protect that front end when going long distance along with the bumper covered in blue 3m tape, no other reason.  :signLOL:

Personally I don't like them despite their purpose. Probably due to seeing too many sh1t cars with them on for no reason  :fighting:

Yep, that pretty much sums up my feeling towards them.

Bra's are for tits

People seem to use them as a fasion item rather than for their purpose.
I've heard some storys of people who leave them on all the time and moisture gets trapped under there and damages the paintwork though.

Each to their own, but I am not a great fan.

Would rather use stone chip protection film.
Bye Bye Edition 30.

Dont think the hardcore detailers would like film due to not been able polish / wax??

True...

Can VentureShield be washed & waxed?
Yes, you may wash and wax your car as if VentureShield were not present. In fact, we suggest you do wax the
VentureShield protective layer just the same as the rest of the car, to ensure against uneven fading of your car's paint. (Copyright VentureShield)
Bye Bye Edition 30.
