Yeah looking forward to bahrain and start of the season.

Hoping silverstone gets the rights to hold the GP if not will need to decide which one to go to, favour Monza as it is mental there

That's extremely excitng! Let's hope it happens.

Lovely guy as Button is, he's not the greatest diplomat and as the world champion, he now needs to learn to think before he speaks sometimes - We've already seen evidence of him being hamfisted.

He (and his management) have royally pi$$ed a lot of people are Brackley by just walking out for more money. From what I've heard theres quite a lot of bad feeling towards him over the whole move after everything they've all been through together. But he's making hay while the sun is shining, which you can't really blame him for

Latest is that Raikkonen is now a possible at Mercedes GP...

I personally hope that Jenson enjoys his retirement at McLaren. Could still make for an interesting season next year though. I'm just keen to see Lewis and Jenson on a level playing field at long last.

As for McLaren's future without Mercedes, with the road car division growing, they are already developing a lot of in-house power-train know-how. I wouldn't be at all suprised if they start co-producing their own power plants with the company who is supplying the engines for the new road cars (same company who supply Gordon Murray with engines for the Camparo).
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

I'd heard the new owners wanted two German drivers.

Lets not lambast the guy before the facts are laid out before us.

That appears to be what the press deduced from the them already signing Rosberg and approaching Glock and Heidfeld, but I think if the price was right they'd be mad not to go for Kimi. He's wanted to go rallying for a while and I'd not be suprised if he does a Hakkinen and takes a sabatical and doesnt come back, but from what I've seen he's not that good at rallying so WRC teams aren't exactly queuing up, so his options are limited. Staying in F1 if he can would be wise.

....2 German drivers is what I heard too.

I also read somewhere that Raikonnen was taking a sabbatical to do rallying and wouldn't consider returning to F1 unless a top car. Though the Brawn is a top car in 2009.

In a GMTV interview this morning (of course I wasn't perving on Emma Crosby who interviewed Jenson) he said he was changing for a new challenge.

Meanwhile, just for you, Nath : -

Kimi has been offered an extra 7 million to stay on a sabatical for 12 months so whoever he drives for would need to cover that before they start talking about a wage!

Mclaren has thelast two world champions in the team.
Mercedes/brawn has a seven times world champion
ferrari has alonso and massa.

the racing in this season should be phenominal, especially as there are no fuel stops this season. this is where we see who is best at the wheel.

Cant wait

Yeh Right........He's Past it

If anybody wants to suggest a suitable forfeit for me to perform if he wins it this year - I'm up for it.

Arse hanging out in Burtons Window has been done to death so get your thinking caps on chaps.......

I'll be running a book, anybody taking part spends £2........£1 to the air ambulance....£1 help for heroes...

Gonna be a good season, think Hamilton/Button will need a few extra chassis's as MS will be spending most of his time knocking them off track AGAIN when hes getting lapped

would be great for mclaren to beat mercedes as well. 2 brit drivers Vs 2 german drivers and all that, not that im competetive though. I love schumacher to win again, but i will be cheering for lewis as my number 1.

how will schumacher compare to the new crop of drivers is the question. he's the same age mansell was wjhen he made his failed comeback. i dont think its his skill, he's been driving F1 cars alot at ferrari since he retired so hes not out the loop as such, i think his ftness could be his downside as a result of his age.
