I'm amazed that the BBC team are seemingly talking about team orders being OK at the end of the season, yet Ferrari were lambasted for doing it mid-season!

....It was fully discussed and explained on the Red Button Forum show afterwards.

Good race result as I'm now wanting Vettel to win the championship as Hamilton is no longer a realistic contender. Anyone who doesn't like Vettel should perhaps rethink after seeing him interviewed in the forum aftershow.

defo wiv u on that one steve   :happy2:

i have a feeling mark will announce his retirement after next sunday tho, regardless of what happens. RBR will make Vettel number 1 in the team next season for sure. They don't understand tho that without Webber this year, they would NOT have won the constructors champs. A team needs 2 good drivers....not just 1. Hence McLaren made an excellent signing in grabbing JB and gave them a good run for their money.

Will see who would want to partner Vettel at RBR next year.

Yep I too don't want Vettel to win. I hope it finishes like today but Vettel makes a "mistake" to allow Webber through on the last corner.

As much as I want Hamilton to win I highly doubt that Webber and Alonso will finish out of the points ( unless they take each other out ) and Vettel finishes lower than 4th with Lewis winning.

I am warming to Vettel but he is still a spoilt little brat and a boxhead. Definately don't want Ze Germans winning ANYTHING :signLOL:

Would you care to (briefly) elaborate on what was said, I didn't catch that part of the coverage.

Im not a fan of him either he has all the making of another fernando alonso and is been brought into F1 in a similar way like Alonso was i.e the favourite at Renault spoilt, like having the team make nelson pique crash so he wins etc etc

Webber ftw or by a pure miracle Hamilton ftw

Ideally I think Button should sacrifice his car and Smash into both the RB's and Alonso and take them all out and leave Hamilton to win

I would like to see both redbulls and fernando take each other out and Lewis cruise round.

To be honest it is still hard to look past a red bull 1-2 this weekend.  There cars will be hooked up there and is then all down to vettel does he lift or does he not.

Rain forecast as well which should spice it up

.... :signLOL:  Brilliant piece of writing!

I reckon Seb will let Vebber through to win but, assuming he's ahead, only towards the closing laps of the race. Vettel will then be the true victor but will have been seen to act in the best interests of his current employers the Red Bull team.

Vettel would 100% let webber past for the win.  If he didnt he would be hated by many for a long long time. Also if he didnt he would rob redbul of the double championship this season.

Vettel can stand Webber finishing second because even though that would tie them on 256 points he would win on the basis of five victories to four. But Vettel also needs Alonso to finish sixth or lower. That will be a tall order unless the Ferrari proves fragile, which is unlikely

Hamilton’s situation is simple: He is on 222 points and there are a maximum of 25 available, so he must win with Alonso failing to score, Vettel no higher than third and Webber no higher than sixth.

If it rains there is every chance of literally anything happening, Hamilton and vettel are good in the rain, not so sure about Webber and alonso though.
