This car is mad, had a drive in it this morning......

Full marks to Shaun, I know some people might think he's as mad as a bag of squirrels for turning a rocco into a track car but after this morning I get it...I really get it.

The boys at KPM have done a 10/10 job on the car - its running about 300BHP at the mo but felt like much more than that.

So you'd think that the only thing missing is a roundel on the door and a number on it, but it looks like a sleeper with the tinted windows, you can't really even see the cage from outside.

Regading the master cylinder upgrade - if anybody is interested then get in touch, its gone really well on Shaun's car and very much proved the concept of what we were trying to achieve, its still fairly embryonic but maths is maths and its a wortwhile upgrade opening up pretty much any set of brakes to the Mk5 Platform without the dullling of performance or extended pedal travel of say the ECS stage V kit.

Shauns pedal as he will no doubt tell you agree is awesome and he's running 8 pots now

One of the chaps who came with us on the last ring trip had the same wheels on his candy,  Rocco R and it just looked perfect. They suit the car perfectly and are pretty light as well. Win win win.  :notworthy:

Agreed!   :notworthy:

Although I'd consider repainting at least one set in Gloss Black!

Cheers for the comments guys and yes I am more than happy with it I cannot stop looking at all the time and effort that's gone into making it the car it now is! I am keeping the wheels the colour they are for the time being, and maybe when they get damaged reconsider. As for being happier than a dog with 2 dicks I'm happier than a dog with 3 digs just need a few good days on the track now before the sea on finishes which is when my next mods will begin!

I almost forgot to say I now have my THS intercooler fitted so just need to see how that fairs up in the hot weather which won't be until next year now!

That looks bloomin' mega. Well done and enjoy the rest of the season.

Stupid question but what are the wheel specs, obviously TD...but 1.2? or maybe 1.3? Offset and Finish style etc?

I'm needing/wanting some of these after seeing these pics, look fab on a white car, as mine is CW too but Golf shaped.
Yoko 048 tyres look great and only add to the cool.

Cheers JP does that include a free once over  I will call at some point so you can check it out pal. The wheels are Vw racing ones which are supplied by TD and are same spec as the 1.3. They are 35 offset and 8.5 rim width, and have just been specially made this size as TD didnt have or didn't do this size, whichis the size I required for my tyres. They are finished in anthracite aswell.

I'm looking forward to getting on the track again Lee, don't think somehow with this weather I will get my slicks on though! The big power upgrade is happening probably around October at end of season, im at VW Audi at Combe are you there?
