Hahaha! I find this really funny that someone is actually wanting to do a lambo door conversion for the practicality that it brings!

Honestly, I'd never do a lambo door conversion if I had lots of cars and lots of cash.

Like I said, it all depends on whether the conversion would actually be of any use. It'd be a bit crap if the conversion meant the open door still needed as much room!

RR, what do you mean by "gullwing"? You mean like the doors on a delorean?

House was built years ago, from a time when a rich man could park his jag in the garage.

My dad's 190E merc fits.
My old Ford fiesta fits.
My new golf fits but I can't open the door!

The plan is to move out of the area but it's a bit difficult at the mo.

tough one, i say dont put it in the garage then, would that leave it exposed to other issues ?

Like the car getting vandalised or stolen, yes.

During the day wouldn't be the problem - it's during the night that I'm worried about.

Do it out of functionality, and remember they work as traditional door too, not just lambo style. (meaning you dont have to look like a couple dick when you park at Tesco).

That helps since I wouldn't want anyone to know it had a lambo feature!    Will need to this close up in real life.

Might pop up to awesome some time.

alot of the lambo door kits available require you to open your door conventionally until the door frame clears the chassis and then lift, so even once fitted you might not be able to open your door to lift them anyway so check the kit you're interested in on a car before you commit mate.

i'm not a fan personally but i can see your predicament, seen this?

That's fabulous, VC - When was that product made and therefore is it likely to be adopted?

I'd imagine it would have safety issues anyway, can't see it doing too well in a side impact.
