Lovely example mate! Did well finding a version with those seats too!
I'd recommend h&r for 30mm springs, not much difference in ride at all but sits nicer on the 18s.
Have a look in my thread for a couple of pics:

Your thread just cost me £200 :( lol.. looks spot on mate will have to get myself some ordered. Where has everyone got these black vw badges from? or they just painted.

May save you £50 mate?
Though I think coilovers are the only real option. I had springs, and after about 3 months gave in for the coilies. :happy2:

:happy2: happy to help. I do smile walking back to it on car parks, nice improvement! Theres a fair few posts on black badges, some nice custom wrapped ones on here but I went for the easy option of a straight swap purchase off eurowagens. Cost about £12 I think.
It's going to get expensive for you on here!

Cheers for the link.. yeah does keep playing on my mind, as part of me thinks its going to cost say £200 with fitting and then if it doesn't sit how you want, just going to go coilovers in the end lol.

Cheers Tanner, will check them out, few on ebay by looks of it. Yeah new cars are expensive as you just want everything done instantly lol.

Ever so small update.

Just been sorting it out really. Car went into VW for coilpacks on recall, they come back with rear shock leaking and driveshaft gater needs sorting. Had only had the car 8 days so went back to trader and after little debate had my mates garage sort the issues and he nicely picked up the bill.

Car seemed to lack abit of TLC even though no dents or scratches on the bodywork it was caked in tar etc.

Good wash, tardis, clay bar and wax n polish sorted this out.

Had issue with passenger door, managed to get this sorted for £75 all in.

Lastly changed front and rear badges for black ones and replaced all the normal lights with LED's to clean up outside look. Also got some different headlight bulbs off the bay which to be fair are not as white as HID's but certainly look alot better than standard. Cant complain for £12.

Just got some H&R springs off guy on here so they should be going on shortly, as well as hopefully obtaining a induction kit.

Cam belt end of month :( then hopefully sort out a map for it.

Also been quoted £175 to get rear bumper colour coded and part of front splitter. So much to do so little money in my bank account :(

Very nice! Making me jealous here, my White Gti isn't being delivered until Saturday!

Love the seats!

What are your plans for the rear bumper? My two first mods are going to be sorting out a head unit and the rear bumper. (Head unit - Leaning towards Kenwood one from VW or someone else rather than the RNS510 in order to actually benefit from iPod, Bluetooth etc)

Rear bumper - You going to respray the standard one, leaving the bottom mid section black, or the whole thing?

Either way, very nice motor, will be joining you saturday! :)

Cheers for the comments.

Yeah i was looking at the RNS510 but got ipod connection and that at moment so not on top of list to do.

Rear bumper.. yeah as you said, getting mine sprayed white, but leaving the bottom middle section black. (Not a big fan of it all white). And same with front splitter will have sides white and middle extra lip kinda thing left black. Shame its all textured otherwise wouldnt cost as much.

Mike you got a link to your sidelights? I asked you before but ive lost the thread  :ashamed:

Where are you based?

Sounds like we will be doing the same colour coding then, any quotes yet?

What are the odds lol Im in Birmingham too, Harborne/Edgbaston way, you?

I have been reccomended heavily Motorbodies in Digbeth, a renault specialist was telling me about the work there saying it comes out better than factory finishes. I phoned and he said around the £150 mark for the rear bumper, and not much more for the side skirts (Not sure wether to bother with the front splitter, front end looks quite good as it is, so going to budget about £200 so think Im going to drop it in next Saturday and leave it in for the week while i go Ibiza closing parties.

Call Chase automotive in Cannock mate, I always use them, about 5 minutes from the train station. cost me £250 for the rear bumper, side skirts, and splitter. Fantastic work. Check my build thread to see all the work they have done. :happy2:

Cheers Al, heard a few people mention them in cannock.

And im by solihull way Dave. You'll have to let me know what price they give you when you take it in and how work comes out. Think its changes the car completely getting the rear done.

I kind of like the black side skirts breaks the white up i think.

Kind of need my car for work so struggle to give it up for the few days the bodyshop will need. As would prefer not to drive it for a few days after as well just to give it that extra time to harden.
