Oh. Fair enough then chap. Its hard really. Maybe get a technician at your dealer to call the VW UK technicians while you are there? That was another way to do it at BMW.
Also, haven't VW outsourced their customer services away from their UK HQ?? I remember hearing this a while ago?
This would undoubtedly affect the quality of response regarding the problem.
