Glad you got it all sorted in the end.

I'm pretty sure I haven't got this Oil Level/Temp Sensor on my 07 Leon, been under the car a few times and never noticed it.

However, if I look on the VCDS Measuring blocks like you have been, I too get an Oil Temp of -60 and a flickering Oil Level.

I'm going to have a look at Channel 39 when I get home to see if I can find anything out on there.

I'd love to able to view Oil Temp, I was going to fit a gauge, but I sooner have it this way.

Cheers Dom look forward to it its added the icing on the cake so to speak having oil level and oil temp was the whole thing that started me looking at the Polar units

Cupra it wasnt until I started looking that I noticed the sensor and I have been under mine a few times to change DV and brake pads, if you have a larger engine under-tray on the Leon you might not be able to see it, the GTI one is rather small and doesnt cover the sump.

Its funny Kevin that we both had the same issue because we both had US clusters and came to the same conclusion on the same day! How have you got on with the Polar?

Ya at least we didnt put a new sensor in :pomppomp: When you said you had US clocks and that one wire runs to them I had a hunch it was the clocks.

The Polar FIS hasnt arrived yet. What day did you post it? Boxes can take up to 5 working days to get here from the UK :stupid:

I'm pretty sure you got one.

At least all cars with longlife from factory do have this sensor.

Well, been under the car and I can confirm that (at least mine) a Leon doesn't have an Oil Temp/Level Sensor.

I can see where the sensor would of been.

Also (think I did it correct) with VCDS under "engine" then Adaptation then onto channel 39??? I get an Error message. So thats it for me, back to a gauge.

Nope, I think Seat just adopted every 10K or 12months servicing schedules.

Thats a bit rubbish, it would be a new sensor new sump and wiring to the ECU and cluster so probably not worth the end result!  :sad1:

Agreed. Think that would be a bit excessive.

Thanks for the help though, much appreciated.

Just to give this one another little kick  :signLOL:

I don't suppose anyone knows or could find out (pretty please) the part number of the Electrical Plug that plugs into the Oil level/Temp Sender do they?

I'm going to retrofit this I think and need to get all the parts together.

The part number for the plug would help my dealer and I locate some parts.

This page should help you out, think it looks like 1J0 973 72 3
http://www.passatplus.de/umbauteile/stecker/stecker2.htm

based on this

It also appears froma  search that on the 1.8T engines the oil level sensor was wired into the coil-pack loom as ECS did a replacement loom, could be worth some research to see if there is a similar loom for the TFSI

Thanks Rich.

Just read the TDI link you sent me again.

On their they list 1J0 973 703.

Looking on the link above, this connector is just above, so I think I have found the answer.

Thanks very much mate. :happy2:
