CMD remaps ?

has any one heard of CMD software for remaps i have a seat leon fr 2.0 turbo like the golf gti and they claim 245 bhp after the remap
has anyone here tried it are thay good or bad ?
its a m8 of mine whom owns the garage thats given me these figures and the map will be done on a m8s rates so its cheap lol

Isn't CMD the hardware for flashing the ECU?
Mk2 Octavia vRS with K04 conversion, 3"TBE & Decat, APR HPFP, BDM Intake, S3 I/C, Sachs clutch & Unicorn custom map, S3 brakes, AP coilovers, THS mounts.

i dont know much about remaping cars but isn't that wot happens ? the software rewrites the ecu ?

Iirc cmd is the hardware/tool they use to upload new software to the ecu
