Lets see your Engine covers
« on: July 24, 2011, 01:01:50 pm »
anyone have any pictures of their engine covers that have been sprayed?

just brought a spare and thinking of getting it done.

also does anyone know how much this is likely to cost?

i finally got around to doing mine
fristly big fanx to bigAL for chopping and fixing the oem cover!
i then primed and used the wrinkle/crackle high temp engine paint on it-i want it to match the p flo pipework-whixh it now does.

i also did the heat shield which needs to be added reeealy quickly lol

i then used refelctive tape on the underneath of both to keep the heat where it should be and not near my intake-i also taped the undeneath of the intake pipe - esp around the maf sensor area

and then the funky finishing touch
skater boi lol

with added wolfsburg badge instead of the damaged vw one

sorry crappy iphone pics but i hope you get the idea and..... like it

As said in my txt last night, Looks ace Rich. Really original work, ( and cheaper than the planned carbon dipping!)
you going to continue the theme on the battery cover or got other plans?
