Have you ever had to sleep in your car
« on: July 23, 2011, 12:38:20 pm »
Has many who know me know I work nights  last night was no different I went to work early 6pm and worked until 2am half day(suppose to work till 6am) anyway I got home after going to the petrol station for some devils juice and got out of the car....

I reached for my house keys and they where not there :scared: after 2mins I realised I must have forgot them in the house and my wife locked the door on my way out

So last night I had to spend the night in the car :signLOL:

I know what your thinking "why didn't he just knock on the door" well no my daughter is a light sleeper I didn't want her getting out of bed and walking round the house by her self while the wife was fast asleep :indifferent: I tried to call the wife 6 times but her phone was on silent :fighting:

It was comfortable by the way  and strangely not cold

How unusual.
I got back from work at 3am and realised I had left my keys in my locker at work.
Had to ring the wife, who did get up, but was not very impressed about it.

Impressive. I'd have rung the doorbell several times and knocked on the door.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

A few months ago I got my nephew a job at a local-ish, but pretty isolated resort (Slaley Hall anyone? Out in the middle of nowhere off the A68).

Seeing as it was his first night and he knew nobody there, I said I'd pick him up when his shift finished - anytime between midnight and 3am depending on how early the event finished.

Anyway, I couldn't get a reply from him so I turned up about 1am as this was the time touted, thinking I wouldn't have long to wait. I rang, text and left voicemails to say I'm down in the bottom carpark. I then jumped in the back seat and curled up as it was literally freezing outside.

I woke up about 5.30am to see a text from him saying he'd got a run home!!

One was not amused...
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
