Went to say hello to Alex this week and tried not to pester him with my relentless questions.  :ashamed:

Ordered a subframe locate / lock kit from AKS tuning.

Alex reported very positive effects from fitting them even before propperly re doing his alignment

They are the gold standard solution fix for the subframe washer / bolt mod imo

Presumably they reduce the size of the subframe hole, thus allowing less movement.

The align the whole front end removing the ability of the subframe from moving. I have them fitted on mine but from a different source. I've found they really tightened up the steering feel.

But how do they do that?

I think its the collared parts that 'lock' the subframe in place Ian.  Ill request the speel from Alex

Nice pic of a large bush.  :happy2:

So the problem could be that the bolts sit to one side or the other and misalign the console and wishbone with the subframe. I get it, I think.

Does this cause problems when aligning the front end because these will limit the amount of adjustability. ?

I think this gives you a rock solid platform at the front by which you can align the front end properly.

Are these just a replacement for the ECS bolts?
If it's not broke, Mod it.....
