Dropped the oil at work today & whipped the sump off to change oil pick up pipe.

1st forum work selfie?

Nice easy job, did it nice & slow seeing as I was in work time & getting paid for it  :innocent:

3 of the bolts where a bit awkward (between block & bell housing) a 1/4 drive UJ was too wobbly to get the Allen key on but a long ball headed Allen key got them cracked off  :smiley:

Pick up pipe was like new but seeing as I ordered a new one I'll probably put the new one on. In the mean time I'm taking the sump down to AKS on Monday to have a boss welded on so I can fit a Defi oil temp gauge.

I don't know why I expected the pickup pipe to be clogged, I change the oil every 5k at most lol

Called in at AKS bright an early yesterday. Alex welded and tapped a boss onto my sump for me so I can add an oil temp gauge for me to keep an extra eye on things.

Makes sure it doesnt get used too hard before the oil it hot & not too hot on trackdays.

*dont worry I have a fresh crush washewr for the sump plug, in the glove box  :happy2:

Then shot over to Silverstone to have a catch up with Neil P & Shaun  :driver: :laugh:

Going to stick the sump back on today & fill up with fresh Millers Nanodrive.

Ordering a standalone TPMS too cause my factory one I find a little bit rubbish

Same as Niel P has;
