Your maf is caked.  I hope its not from the filter oil.  That guy from Hungary is selling mafs at quite a good price or you could buy one of my spares.  Give it a good clean with some electrical cleaner first.

Mike. As you know my knowledge of cars spans from changing a wheel to turning the wipers on....

But have you considered taking the car back to a stock map? And also considered the timing belt to be out after Simon did it for you?

Mike you know my feelings on your timing being out.
I think you need to get this checked out asap.

I will put up a full post here and on seat cupra , once my compensation is sorted so people can understand what can go wrong and the symptoms to look out for.
Take car mate
oh and congratulations  :happy2:

Collected this morning, commuting to/from the hospital should now take 10 mins less

Touch wood, initially the idle seems much smoother, no popping, no missfire after 30 or so miles.  Had injector cyl 3 and N75.  Oh and 500€ worth of work on the right side Xenon

Was already up to temparature when I collected it so not sure if theres popping & spluttering from cold at idle.  We'll see

Stock mode and Stage II+ mode are now called "Family Mode" and "Me time"

They changed the b*stard wrong f-ing N75  :fighting:  I haven't got the time or energy to argue with them.  It seems to run much better & I need a car so.....

They took the tdi N75 off my Forge, re wired the tfsi plug on the loom and put my new Tfsi N75 to my Forge.  Not what I wanted.  I wanted the N75 valve next to my Turbo renewing.  A phone call to Awesome says it works in the same way and will cause no harm, I want to confirm with Forge but they closed at 4.

Idle is smoother and hasn't popped or farted, yet.

I have the old injector and am interested in getting it bench tested for the usual spray pattern, leakage, back pressure etc.

Dash parts arrived at flockers this morning, looking forward to having a propper dash again.

Oh and the 160€ we agreed on reached 790€ by the time it came to collect

I have been advised a couple of times the bulb should be under lifetime warranty, bulb cost me 160€ then it still didnt work and needed a new control modue.

But she hasnt spluttered yet and I can see in the dark so fair enough.  Hope it has a nice idle in the morning.
