Went down with top chap 'Monte' Carlo and Bob to AKS tuning so he could get a couple of goodies and I could rinse the dust off the car and see my bonnet and steering wheel for the first time  :jumping:

Bob

Fitting the boot pop

Have to say this works better on Carlos car than it did on my Leon with the Fabia struts.  My boot was super stiff to close and didnt open quite high enough but works perfectly on Carlos

All done, wonder what's been fitted....  :innocent:

I didnt think to get a pic of the grin on Carlos face as they came back in from the test drive but it was funny
Was hillarious that Alex said put 'yer foot down during testing  and Carlo did so and just waited for the command to slow down  :driver:

Rinsing the dust off the Cupra

She's long overdue a full on detail  :sad1:  Cant wait to get her all in top condition

Massive thanks to Carlo for the lift down!  :notworthy: :notworthy:

Hey Mike! The exposed carbon bonnet really does suit your car very well - Much better than I thought it would. It's got plenty of shape and even ties in visually with the ClimAir's!

The other plus is that your carbon weave looks superior to the weave which OSIR uses and therefore looks better when exposed in a large 'flat' area.

Thanks Robin

If I keep it raw carbon it will be to save money and have it wrapped red (or mostly red) at a later date.

 lurrrrve the carbon bonnet mate! not usually a big fan of leaving raw carbon on show but it matches the rest of your car really well!

id personally get it painted over having it wrapped, personally i would be scared of a colour match from having it wrapped or is this not normally an issue?

either way mate! love your motor!  :happy2:

Thanks mate!

I'm weary of the match to and think its best to paint it and may end up doing. Just thought wrapping it would be easier to re sell...

I think its a good idea... from the side the transition between the side pillar in red and bonnet in CF is ugly IMO. The lines of the car flow better with the side strips in red  :happy2:

I agree with Rich - The bonnet's red side lines flow better into the A-pillars and roof.

if you love it, Mike, do it for you and not for either resale or the next owner.  :happy2:

Wish I took a couple of pics of the wheel stud conversion today on my visit to AKS, love the look of the studs and will make life easier and stop me from damaging my calipers on wheel changes

Getting a quote tomo for painting the bonnet red.
