VW broken my car
« on: July 25, 2011, 03:19:44 pm »
I took my car in for the ECU update today working perfectly I may had apart from the car not starting very well on a morning first start.

So they asked me when I booked it in if there was any mods and I advised I had bluefin but had taken it off for them to do the update(they didn't ask me about cosmetic or internal electronic gizmo's or such like)

Any way when the car was done I looked over the car and drove home it wasn't until I was near home I noticed the A/C wasn't blowing cold air :sad1: it looks like the update has caused the same problem some people are having with the mk6 panel and ecu compatibility problems?? bearing in mind its been working for the last 8-9 months without a wiff of a problem.

Its now coming up with shutoff due to ECU via CAN or something.

Now it can only be the update thats caused it has it was perfect when it went in but not working when I picked it up  :fighting:

Spoke to the dealer they said they don't want anything to do with it cos of the mods, but surely even though it was moded to the later mk6 climate they should have told me it would affect the a/c????

VW Customer service now involved

Hope you get it resolved, and quickly. Is it not possible to roll the software back?

Last time I put my car into a VW dealer - they cracked my windscreen removing the ECU!
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
