I am about to order a set of AP BBK for the GTi,  I have always opted for the traditional AP black calipers with yellow lettering in the past as I think this aids resale but as the GTi comes with red calipers from the factory was thinking this may look better and more oem to the untrained eye.

Anyone know if its a close colour match to the rears/oem ?

Opinions welcomed.

What colour is your car? I think that may have an influence on your decision. Great brakes though  :notworthy:

Put some S3 vented brakes on the rear and you'll be amazed how well planted you feel under heavy braking.

Guess Robin's red calipers match perfectly.

I'd go for the grey APs with yellow lettering though.

Question of personal taste.  :drinking:

The car is dark grey so either colour would suit - think I'm leaning towards the standard Black & yellow lettering.

Red robin yours look superb but its the performance rather than the look that I'm more interested in,  that :innocent: and keeping a low profile

Are you buying 6 pot or 4 pot ?

I am interested in the same solution as AP are proven and I think will clear my TT arm bottom ball joints. Have you found a good price ?

Any more piccies Robin !

Thanks for the additional pics  :happy2:
Still undecided and I need to confirm colour before the kit is built up,  if I was to order a set of Brembo off DaveB NQSBBK then they would definetly be red so why am I hesitating ?

Either colour for the AP's will look great I reckon.

If you want the classy GTi like look, then go for the Red.
If you want the subtle slightly tuned look then I'd say Black.
A win either way.

Thanks to all those who helped me decide,  gone for Red to keep with the oem GTi look.

When the kit goes on I will post some pics. :happy2:
