We had a death I the family so i had to collect the car before it was finished.  Still haven't taken it back yet.  Will take it to them after the IC/rad/exhaust/ecu update and plugs are all sorted, then dsg and remap tweakage.
Sorry to hear the bad news Sy.
Have you tried a NQS BBK yet Sy?  Should be over in a few weeks so you can sample how they stop the heavy Leon.  :happy2:

Not so much me, but the wife has now lost both grandparents, so she took it hard.

Have tried the NQS BBK once but not hard.  Ill have a good stomp on yours to see, mine are woeful.  I dont want to go for a big setup as its extra weight, but i also want to keep things looking as OEM as possible, hence why im also looking at the mk4 R32 Twinpot 323mm front brakes.  They should be a massive improvement, one extra pot per caliper and an extra 35mm in disc diameter

Intercooler and radiator are now fitted to my car.  Very impressed with the final product.

Definite improvement in response, and most importantly the power not only felt stronger, but i never noticed any power loss at all, which i normally do after 3-4 WOT runs.  Its most noticeable at higher speeds though.

I gave the car a really good workout after picking her up, and im pretty certain there's a notable temperature drop in the engine bay compared to normal.  Granted its colder outside than before but im pretty sure its better than it was by a fair margin.

And to put the icing on the cake, not only did they wash and clean my car, after i had explained to them that my oil temps were hitting 130degrees on track and was abit worried so they also replaced my oil with Motul 300V 5W/40 oil which has a much higher temperature range than the stock oils.   As well as this they swapped my coolant for Motul MoCool to help keep temperatures in check.

Stock IC Dimensions
80mm Tube Width
96mm Stack Height
617mm Tube Length
= 4.73 litres

Pace Products IC Dimensions
90mm tube width
145 stack height
550mm tube length
= 7.17 litres
= 35% increase  :star:

Cant find the pics of the Rad at the moment, will post them up tomorrow

The stock cooler is weeny @ 4.7L, thats a nice improvement from the new cooler  :happy2:

Looks like they have done a good job for you mate  :driver: :driver:

Does the 1.4TSI come in any other form in the Fabia? I was sat behind a brand new one today , looked stock (ie, no VRs styling) but had a TSI badge on the rear!!

That looks a rather sexy piece of kit Sy

How much extra weight do you think it adds?

What is you "bum dyno" telling you?

It will be heavier but there's no way around that.  Modified intercoolers are the same material as stock so ifyou make it bigger its going to be heavier.

Bum dyno say more top end power and its consistent as well.  It wont be on the rollers and my map re tuned to the full blown stage 2 along with the new exhaust until february due to unforeseen cicumstances

I don't mind a little extra weight for a little extra reliability elsewhere.

My plans are also on hold for extra power until the DSG map is available.

Sy, why you holding off on the extra power until the DSG map comes about?
Also, what other power mods were you planning

Both myself and Sy are nearing the software torque limit for the Gearbox. A DSG remap would up the limit and enable further tuning.

So I assume the DSG box in your cars are different to the GTi's ED30's and S3 etc.
How many DSG variants are there?

Yours is a 6spd wet gearbox.  Ours is a 7spd dry gearbox.

Yours will take more power, apparently the 7spd has a faster shift and is more efficient, in reality theyare both good

Here you go these are the pics of the radiator

Stock radiator
Dimensions
28mm thick x 730 wide x 410 high = around 8.4litres

Pace Products radiator
Dimensions
50mm thick x 730 wide 410 high = around 15 litres = 78% increase  B)

As you can see, its a fair bit larger than stock.

Got some more pictures of the intercooler as well
