The leons are competitive but the audi A4 and the golf are bak of the field.  VAG need a better showing imo.  Thing is hamilton isn't experienced at driving in the mid field or front

VAG performance is woeful. It would be great if VW actually got involved with a team,  more money for development.

Don't hold your breath for instant success!!  I reckon the Skoda will go through the same development cycle (and pain...) as the A4 and Golf currently are.
