ITG or Forge??
« on: July 27, 2011, 04:32:08 pm »
During a impromtu drive today i happened to drive past, then stopped and entered, a tuners and came out with a Revo stage 1  :signLOL:

Whilst there i enquired about which cold air intake they recommend and they said the ITG which they have on their own demo car. I see that alot of people on here run the twin take, which one do people recommend? Is there much difference? They seem about the same price from my limited investigation, and the place that done my remap do the ITG for £325 so would be easy to get hold of one.

Any comments welcome  :happy2:

Don't know about the ITG, I have the twintake and love it, the sounds it makes are great, and it looks the business too.
Look in the for sale section as there are a couple in there for about £280ish.

I would say the ITG induction kit and the Forge Twintake are on the same level of performance, but the Twintake dose give very good results and looks very nice.

My edition 30 revo stage 2+ made 354.8bhp on a dyno dynamics rolling road, with the twintake fitted.

It's now up for sale in the for sale section.

is the twin take an oiled filter like the itg? also consider the evoms from JKM or BDM induction kit as might be bit cheaper.
Diamond Black Pearl Edition 30, still going strong but now back to Stg 1

.
Revo are 'in bed' with ITG, so they'll always recommend ITG.

As others have said, there's not a lot of differences with the Forge Twintake and much is down to personal preferences. Those with a Forge will recommend the Forge, and those with ITG will recommend ITG. I'm still extremely happy with my Twintake.

Cheers for the links Redrobin  :happy2: really interesting read. I certainly like the styling of the twintake more than the ITG, but feel that the ITG may have the edge of performance (and sound if the ricer in me raises his head  ) The prices are similar also, there are ones listed on the for sale part here for around the £280 mark 2nd hand and a group buy for the ITG at £310 new, so not much in it. However, just noticed i cant post in either due to not having enough posts so will have to look around and hang fire on here

Just another possible is the Dbilas intake, tiz a quiet one though...so depends what you fancy.
I only mention because for some reason it seems to be the unloved intake on here and seems to often come up under £200 in the For Sale section.
That was my reason for going for it, good gains, quiet in use, cheap enough and the price didn't start with a 3.

It's def not eye candy like the Twintake is though. Depends on what you fancy.

You can join our group buy mate, just drop me a PM if you are interested. We also sell the twintake if you preferred one of those. In my opinion their is nothing in it between the 2.
