Almost MK5 owner London
« on: July 27, 2011, 10:06:39 pm »
Hi all

Been lurking around the forum for almost a week now. I put a deposit on an 05 plate Reflex Silver 3 door at the end of last week and am due to pick her up beginning of next week - can't wait n :happy2: Just waiting for the dealer to put a new set of tyres on her, new MOT and a Parrot bluetooth thing.

Currently a Mk3 owner which has been a great ride which I've had for nearly 10 years now - will be very sad to see her go. Hopefully I can find a good home for her. If anyone on here knows anyone who might be interested let me know.

Will be planning to do a few little mods to the MK5 when I get her such as carbon badges (if I can find any), footrest and inserts and Revo stage 1. She already has colour coded skirts and refurbed 18" Monza II's in anthracite, which look really cool on Reflex Silver - one of the reasons I fell for her

Anyway nice to make your acquintance.

Phil

Yeah I'll keep my eyes open for any meets. The more I hear about Revo stage 1 the more it sounds like an essential mod. What's not to like eh? jaycue2u did you go for the SPS with yours? I'm trying to decide whether this is worth the extra money or not? Can't see me wanting to switch it back to stock

Yep, this is the third GTi I've owned. Gotta love them. Had her a week now and still getting used to the handling and all the extra bells and whistles. Feels very different to the other two. It's in a different class. It doesn't feel as quick as a Mk1 or even a Mk3 until you look at the speedo and realise it's a lot quicker

Here you go, a few pics.

From dealers website:

As she is at the moment:

Mock up in photoshop with black badges and R32 rear lights - on order :happy2:

So far done the GTi seat inserts and footrest and GTi mats. Will get a Revo stage 1 in about a month once I'm used to the handling
