All part of the fun! Learning curve. Even better when you get to rub it into the blue oval and griffen boys!

Stop it!! This hobbie costs enough as it is with out braking a DSG box!!!

You'll do well to do that mate.. I must of done over 200 launches with my DSG (most at Pod) on my ED30 and it never broke..  :rolleye:

That's a fair point! I remember when I first had it mapped I was sh*tting it about the DSG, two years on and the car does get driven its still A1! Even VW prob didn't think it would be this good! That's why the S3 only got it later on!

Reaction time indeed is not included in the elapsed time. 11.8 et is 11.8sec 1/4 mile.
Reaction time only plays a part in elimination rounds. There is when you set a time for your car to run but not beat, and the guy next to you does the same for his/her car. The lights go off corresponding to those set times and the winner is usually the driver with the best reaction time.
For example;
If I run pretty consistently at 12.8 and you are at 11.8. Those et's are selected and put on the glass of each of our cars. When you pull up to the line the lights are set to go off for me one second before they go for you. Then the first one to cross the finish line without beating their selected et's win the race. So this is when Rxn times come in to play.

24 DSG launches in one day is my record at Santa Pod  :rolleye: :driver:

The DSG can take it easily at stage 2+, it is when you go beyond stage 2+ that the gearbox can start to slip on the clutchpacks. :happy2:

I set off when I'm ready, rather than when the lights go green. The reaction time may be longer, but generally the ET time is better  :star:
Golf R gone.
