Landrover defender mini detail.
« on: July 29, 2011, 05:44:15 pm »
After recently beginning the learning process of machine polishing a friend asked if I'd be interested in doing his Landrover Defender which had't been cleaned in over a year.
The whole was covered in some pretty serious scratches from trees and shrubs as it regularly goes off road at Pidgeon shoots etc but I welcomed the blank canvas to practice on.
The main aim was to just get the thing looking black to start off with as the paint was very milky.
Using the DA I did the whole car using Menz FF3000 (PO85U) on a polishing pad and then using a Sonus SFX-2 spot pad and some PF2500 (PO203S) to hit some of the more serious scratches.
Unfortunately I don't have any before or after pictures but just a few of the finished article.

I'm pretty happy with the results to be honest :buffer:.

No FG500 this time?

Looking very good. Keep practising!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Looks mint - well done, but it looks more like a cat to me - either a cat or one sorry looking dog!
