Retro fit headlight washers
« on: July 30, 2011, 12:52:15 am »
Hi guys,
First post so please go easy on me!
Im retro fitting headlight washers to my Mk5, i have done all the searchs but im unable to find out how to install the Kufatec loom. I have everything including the larger washer bottle. Just need to know where to install the main 3 wire loom, also the other part with the relay. As you can guess I didnt get any instructions with the loom.
Many thanks for any help.

Very helpful

Kufatec have now changed their loom colour from Black/Yellow to GREY for reference.

The loom is also not long enough to reach the drivers side via the battery side grommet. Use one of the drivers side ones instead.

Interesting, thanks. Doing this and another mod through the week, is the drivers side grommet easily identifiable or do I need to remove loads of panels to get to it?
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Ive done it. It took a morning, but wasn't easy in places and requires a reasonable amount of skill and wiring to be done, plug vagcom coding.

Gti Edition 30 mate

I haven't got a guide, but best thing you can do is get a copy of the diagram that shows all the parts. This site http://furmanka.blogspot.com/2007/12/mk5-wiata-ksenonowe-z-samopoziomowaniem.html has a guide for the headlight washers towards the bottom, and theres other threads on the site that tell you a bit more

Tip wise, you'll want to put the wiring through most likely the bonnet cable grommet - theres enough space, and its watertight so ideal for using.
