tyre wear
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:51:01 pm »
my front tyres are showing quite a lot of wear from 5.0 in middle to 1.7 on about an inch on the outside
any thoughts on what the cause could be?
the back tyres similar but not as bad
tracking?
tyre pressure?

tyre pressure would be my first port of call - especially with uneven wear. Easily tested and rectified, if PSI is correct then move on to other possible problem areas like alignment.

If i read what you typed in the 1st post correctly you are suffering more wear in the centre of the tyre than the outside which indicates that they are over inflated and that tyre pressure is the likely problem.
