I have a set of Highline clocks from a 2007 Jetta TDI 947B wanted to put them into my 2005 Golf TDI

Do you mean 974 cluster? I've not heard of a 947 one. If so, Kalu on this forum can help. He retrofitted a 974 highline for me.
Black 2008 5 door GTI. Leather, DSG, ipod prep, 18" Monzas. Retrofitted: Cruise, PDC, RNS510, 729 Skoda Bluetooth (thanks SteveP), MFSW buttons (thanks MortyGTTDi), Armrest & vents, covered cupholder, Highline (thanks Kalu), Polar FIS+ (thanks Richn), Reversing camera (thanks MortyGTTDi)

great write up!

When I did mine, I had a small problem with matching the cluster up to the ECU and my car wouldnt start!  Didnt realise at first and I nearly pood myself!

Thankfully I found out what the problem was and quickly fixed the issue!

Finally, did my mid to highline conversion and the whole operation went thru without a blip!
Simply love the new look! nagivation included!
The only problem is, I realised that the "convenience menu" is missing from the settings list.
Is it because my car is not equipped with this, or did I missed out any steps.
If former, what do I need to do to get it in. Change the central electronics module?

depends on how many doors your car has and what year.

what is your current one

there is also a chance you have a highend one but it has been coded not to display.

Mine is a 06 5-dr. Let me go get my installer to find out the PN. keeping my fingers crossed its just a case of not coded. Thanks again!

You can do it with Genuine Vag commander (not the cheap ones on ebay)
Or the dealer with a new cluster

you want 1K6 920 874

German eBay seems to be the place where this sort of thing turns up. Post a thread in our Wanted section as well.

If you're finding it hard to source a UK cluster, also enquire with retek.de but make sure it's a unit in MPH.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
