Nay's mk5 cream inside!
« on: August 04, 2011, 01:37:55 pm »
i saw a mk5 on piston heads before you knew it....

due the car previously having an accedent on the right hand side there was no uprated speaker on the drivers door... thanks to ebay i managed to get hold of a set of focal speakers.

i then used the passanger door as a template...

ready to be covered :)

i then got hold of a set of pressed plates :)

ordered another pressed plate for the rear... needs spraying in gloss black when i have my bonnet resprayed

took the engine cover, battery cover, coolent cap, washer cap and fuse cover off, i then decided to take the reccess off the washer cap and the fuse box so i got out the grinder and sandpaper ;) ready for flocking

oops off came the bonnet and a new one appeared :S with the badge reccess already smoothed out (needs spraying)

due to the bonnet not being stretched the old grill was given to my mate to have the bar made same as the bottom one ;)

here she is! ready to be sprayed then wrapped ;)

bonnet bra came in the post this week so i dnt get stone chips on the way to and from shows :)

until i got the grill back....

im trying to keep the image of the car as much as i can but to put my own touch onit :)

i then got my show plate back...and flocking

grill was then n wrapped and calipers painted + stickers ;)

bentleys changed colour.....and 20mm rear spacers.

this is how the bra looks like

and for the new wheels......

one needs a new dish and they need polishing yet.

when the wheels arrived... they arrived in plastic bags therefor new rear dishes where required, so i went 1/2" bigger in size.

Polished fronts

before new dishes

After!

and the stretch..

latest updates.... tank and compressor  :)

Was thinking of mounting here....

Theres space below for the compressors, also i rek i should get another tank for the other side PVC-noid

the grill went off for spraying to get rid of the crazy idea i had with the cream bits lol some of you may have noticed at shows i covered it up with tape.

This is the first golf that I saw that made me sit up and think I need a golf, this was when I had my focus ST, I soon had a golf and it went from there :happy2:

Glad to see this back on the scene mate and good luck with the future plans and awards has you will certainly get them in abundance with that beauty.

Looked at this quite a bit at Awesome at the weekend,
Loving the mods so far, as hate the bad boy bonnet, and the new rims are so much nicer than the Bentleys.
Look forward  to seeing where you go with it now.
Little retrimming on the interior parts and you will have a show winner every time with that mate. :happy2:
