Rear View Camera video signal switch
« on: August 13, 2011, 07:40:20 pm »
Hi
I have recently fitted a RVC in a 2006 Golf, but with an added option of a button in the centre console to activate it while on the move. It is wired in ok and the camera badge pops out when the button is pressed or if reverse is engaged. The only problem is that I get the image when reverse is selected, but nothing when the button is pressed even though it pops out.

Any ideas?

The display is activated by a CAN signal to the RNS as far as I am aware, so if your just triggering the 12v + to the camera all it will do is pop the camera out  :happy2:
