Airbag warning light, independent garage can clear the code?
« on: August 06, 2011, 03:49:13 pm »
I disconnected the airbag switch in the centre dash today and foolishly turned the ignition on, whilst changing the head unit. Obviously VW or VCDS can remove reset the light but can a non VW garage do it aswell?

I have used an indy garage before to reset the ABS warning light, so they have equipment, just not VW specific.

Cheers

Most fault code scanners can clear this code, it will clear itself as well after something like 16 cycles of the ignition too I have been told.
