In the middle, infront of the turbo. Pain to remove. What's the fault as its usually something else that causes an egr fault than the actual egr itself.

So it's in front of the turbo ontop of the block?

EML has been on and diagnosed as the EGR. Car went into Audi who allegedly stripped a thread, just wanted to see if there were any signs of bodge-ing!

Audi Doncaster are shocking, some of the worst customer service I've heard. Dad gave them a proper roasting.  :signLOL:

You will see a metal pipe from the right hand side from the throttle actuator that goes to the egr which is infront of the turbo. The last egr fault I had turned out to be the throttle actuator. The motor had teeth missing on one of the cogs.

I have had 2 with the same as Alex, both had EGR fault codes but was snapped teeth on the large cog inside the throttle motor (made of high quality brittle plastic like the 2.0 TDi ones well done VAG )

Will this show up as such with a VCDS scan??

Thanks for the info guys, the dealers are hopeless, and have no respect for a 40k car.

Just had another one go too. Shame Audi charge 300 quid for such a sh*t part. The fault that shows up is just and egr insufficient flow.
