Big John at Drivetrain for fast road - He trains 'blue lighters'.
Doubt I'd ever take the GTI onto a proper track (until it has some mods). But would love to able to handle the car properly at high speeds, as well as learning the limits of my car. IS that the one you'd recommend.
....Without any hesitation I'd recommend doing firstly CarLimits to explore the limits of your car off public road in open space. 2 or 4-car day is best (in your own car - Mine was 11 mpg and a set of tyres!)
Then as a follow up, Drivetrain for roadcraft.
Also get a copy of the latest edition "The Police Driver's Handbook Roadcraft" if you can. You'll already know some of it but it's still good and extremely well illustrated.

DriveTrain InfoI guess you need to budget just under £400 for both but you get to keep the brain remap when you change car!
