RCD 500 to RCD 510

Had a offer of a RCD 510 out of a new golf R  and need to know is the straight swap into a 08  R32  .

Will i need to update the can gateway, or get battery drain ?

About 95% sure you will be fine.
Do you have acces to VCDS, to confirm Can-Gateway part number?

You'll be fine, the CAN-Gateway you require came in around late 2007.

You can, you need an MDI kit, Either in centre console or glovebox version.
