Flashing Engine Management Light
« on: February 09, 2012, 04:35:33 pm »
Hi all,
Got a 57 plate GTi DSG, had a flashing engine management which would go out when i slowed down. Was told it could possibly be the coil pack so i changed all 4. Happy days until driving home today and it's started again GUTTED!!!!
Anyone got any ideas or have had the same problems?
All help greatly received.

The coil packs should have been replaced/covered by the recent recall. Checked with the dealer.

The car had a major service on the 6th January 2012
My car was not on the recall list for the coil packs so VW wouldn't change them.
I had coil packs changed on tuesday this week and was hoping not to see flashing light again.
How wrong was i :signLOL:

Have a look on the Vagcom register on here and see who's local. Somebody somewhere will scan it for faults for you im sure.
