Clocks / clock 'arch' removal help
« on: August 12, 2011, 11:07:30 am »
MkII Leon Cupra but hoping it's very similar...

Currently wrestling with my clock arch...

By removing the climate panel and HU I've removed the 3 torx screws on the left side.

Still feels very stiff top left side but loose bottom left...

I'm after the 'half moon' removed for modifying.

Any tips?

Thanks in advance...

Cancel that, gentle persuasion...

Voila

I didn't want to risk missing a screw and snapping something. Turns out to be just the push fit clips all the way around.

Hope this helps for any virgin highline upgraders.

while its off Mike check the part number on your cluster. see if its the same as the TDI one for sale on ebay as I reckon thats the best bet for easy(cheap ish) highline.  :happy2:

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.
