Very very sorry to hear this, Andy.
It's hard but you will get over the initial shock - Time is the healer. You'll never forget him and you'll always have a tear to shed for him but always remember the good things about him and don't be afraid to cry or show your feelings - It's much healthier!
I'm sure that the rest of your family will give each other emotional support and I know from first-hand experience (lost a 4yo son and both parents, also close friends) that our words here, even from comparitive strangers, will also help.
The hard reality which we ALL have to face is death and we must all find the strength to move on after such tragic events - It's what those who have gone would want us to do. Enjoy his fond memory.
