thank god i bought new!!!! UPDATED

im still on holiday until monday but recieved a call from apd garage to say that the new rack i had fitted was the cause of the funny noise i have been getting and has been sent to loaders to have a new one fitted under waranty at no charge to me. also one of my top mounts which i fitted has failed within a week and i bought them from tps so shouldnt have to pay for that either. what a pain in the arse this has all been. just want to drive it again and enjoy it without worrying about odd noises  :fighting:

 :signLOL: yeh i wont be wasting the money on any type of lottery or scratchcard for a while lol. least i has been away otherwise i would have no car for three weeks. just hope to god it comes back and isproperly sorted and not cost anymore for anything else they may find wrong

small update. had a call from th garage to say vw have found and sorted the problem. I was thinking great until APD said it wasnt the rack so i will have to pay. will wait untill i get it back later and update on what the problem was and how much this one has cost me. blooody car!!!

well collected the car after loaders saying they had sorted the problem and they havent. Apparently they replaced a plate that was rubbing on the wishbone somewhere and it solved the problem. After driving to APD to collect the car neil informed me that he has just taken the car out and the noise was still there and yep sure enough jumped into the car and within 2 feet i could still hear the noise. they and i are both convinced the rack needs replacing but vw dont want to by the looks of it. Both APD and myself will be ringing tomorow to voice my anger. On the plus side i did have two noises and APD has sorted one by chnaging a top mount. I had changed both already but seems one was faulty and again has been replaced at no charge. Im starting to feel bad for my garage as its taking up alot of there time and cant really charge much for there time as its under warranty.
