Is your K04 actual boost less than specified...

I've been trying to dial in my boost by adjusting the waste-gate actuator. After switching from AWE's-giac remap to GIAC's high output remap I lost torque and power;



So I've been collaborating with giac on how to get matching boost. Actuator adjustment is their recommendation as my actual was below specified all the way to red-line. After a few adjustments it's getting closer to matching. Just made another adjustment to the waste-gate actuator on Friday and logged it Sunday. Resulting in;

I'm down to maybe 1 or 2 more fine adjustments to pick up the lower rpm boost. 1 or 2 mm more should do it. So far the boost "flutter" hasn't shown itself. 

My question is "Are you K04 guys, at least some of you, experiencing this under-boost from 2k rpm to 3k rpm?" And, "If I tighten the actuator again, and I get the lower rpm boost to match, will going even higher actual boost than I already am in the upper rpm's be problematic?" I made one adjustment (the very 1st one) that put me into so much over-boost that I had really bad boost "flutter" before achieving 27psi peak boost. And, I only have 4 to 5 mm to go before my adjustments will have the actuator right back to where it was when I got the over-boost.

So, what do you guys think?.....

Thank you for posting this. Looks very similar to mine but yours actually catches up a bit sooner than mine has been doing lately. I have noticed that the adjustments  seem to bring the boost on from the higher rpm's into the lower rpm's. What I mean is that as we have been moving the adjustments towards the actuator valve, the boost is increasing in the higher rpm's and the point where the actual boost catches up with spec. is continuing to creep lower and lower. The adjustment made before the last one allowed the actual to catch up at 5000 rpm, and the last one(above) allowed it to catch up at 3500 rpm.
However;
Today we adjusted the w/g another 2mm. After I left the shop and got somewhere I could do a 3rd gear pull, I found out that we are going to need to make smaller adjustments now. The boost shot up instantly to 30 psi (I know, I couldn't believe that I just pegged the boost gauge). I was shocked because I thought we hadn't exceeded the point where we had adjusted and resulted in 27 psi with the very 1st adjustment. But I guess we did. So tomorrow we're backing it off. Probably going to stick with 1/2 turn adjustments from now until it's correct. I definitely don't want to blow the head through the hood, LOL.
