What suspension system?
« on: September 02, 2011, 12:02:01 pm »
im looking at spending around 200 quid tops on a new suspension setup, as my gt tdi sounds like a transit at the moment and the stance is like a tractor lol.

ive been looking at eibach sportlines £140?

h and r springs £190?

or is it worth trying some cheap adjustable coilovers ? like jom? £200... but are these anygood?

if possible pics of ur suspension setup would be great

Get what you pay for. If you only want to spend £200 i would just go springs.

Cheap coilover set up will get you low but doubt will do much for handling or ride comfort.

Ill be getting some H&R springs i think as they go slightly lower than the eibachs by looks of threads on here.

We can do the H&R springs for a good price mate. I wouldn't recommend the REALLY cheap kits mate they won't last and quality is poor. Your idea for H&R or Eibach springs is a good one  :happy2:

Some people are using AP coilovers and have given good reviews.

Can get them for under £500 +fitting costs

How good of a price? Been pondering whilst I saved for some B12's but for improved handling at the moment I may buy some for the time being (springs that is)

The H&R springs I can do a better deal on than the price on the site. We can do them for £188 inc VAT & delivery. All the other prices are on the site here:

http://www.gnjmotorsport.com/categories/Volkswagen/Golf-mk5-GTI/Lowering-Springs/

highly recommend either the H&R or the Eibach sportline kit.

One of my mates got an AP kit and he rates them well (although the difference can be felt compared to my Weitec Hicon GT's)
