Thats crap news Scotty, you have done so much to that car it would be a shame to throw in the towel now! I know it must be frustrating having an ongoing issue which isnt easy to resolve, hopefully it will be fixed quickly and you can feel the love for it again!

No no no!!
You can't sell up now.
(unless to get another MK5 GT TDI)
I've just started modding my car and can do with all the help/inspiration I can get. Plus you only live about an hour away from me (Edinburgh) so I might call on your services on coding me in a new CAN Gateway. Your car has come a seriously long way over a standard Golf, would it ever be worth selling when faulty? You'd lose big amounts of money. Stick with it man, and hopefully Volkswagen can do their magic-wizardry and fix it.

This car can't be sold!!!!!
Think how much you have done to it, to give up now would be a sin
We will sort it, process of elimination. "simples"
