I basically get a rear left brake light out error intermittantly and replacing the bulb doesn't help.

And I also get thr air bag light on, clearing the error make it go away for a week or 2.

The airbag one will be the wiring under the seat. Fairly common fault and should be done under warranty if applicable.

As for the the brake light, fook knows, torch it.

Same fault on the same side?
Did the light go out after performing the work in the bulletin? Is there any possibility your work could have become undone?

Check the airbag plug from the seat to loom under the black plastic cap - see if the pins all line up and don't suffer from any sort of corrosion.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
