We've just swapped a Leon Cupra Tdi for a gti and its one of the best things I've ever done, id say let your heart rule your head on this one!
Laser Blue 3dr No 209683, Leather, Monza II's and a few other goodies...........GONE but not forgotten......now in an A4 S-Line Avant 170tdi......god I miss the Gti.

If you get the 170hp Diesel the injectors WILL break! It happens all across the range! To replace one ( there are 4) it will cost you between 700 to 1k! This fault has happened sooo many times! If you can afford that, no probs but the fact you do higher miles means it will happen!  However a lot of GTI boys mod the arse out the TFSI engine and it just keeps going! Food for thought!

The injector issue is in the hands of VOSA, nearly all the members on Briskoda running the vRS PD170 have had them changed foc by Skoda UK.
