LOL I could hear that coming over the Pennines!!

Yet to see an M-spec new shape 1, the 5 series looks chalk and cheese between trim levels, it's a ploy to make you upgrade. 3 looks nice though... Toughy, hopefully it'll grow and the new coupe will be prettied up too.
Sideways yo!

Aye, it certainly looks the part!! I think colours are important on the coupe, some hide the 'sag' well, leaving that classic silhouette. The 3 on the 1M certainly do.

I don't really like the profile of the hatch, but looks play a very small part in my decision on cars, and it's all opinion, when I bought this I looked at the s3 sport back and I'm sorry it is horrible as is the rs3, but lots love em, talking of which you got any pics of your a3 non s line auto sport back mat :signLOL:

The A3/S3 Sportback looks like a breadvan and drives like one.
The ride on the S3 is harder than a corpse on Viagra.
These cars are so old and dull that even the worms have rejected them.

It's so hard to find the right spec :(

There's a nice one near me at BMW Wolves but it doesn't have Xenons but seems to have everything else!  Does anyone know how much a retro fit costs please?

I think you can retro fit xenons. I was after the face lift led rear lights and when I tried to price them up I'm sure the guy on the counter found a part number for a retrofit xenon kit ... Can't imagine it's cheap though.

Ben,  the gearbox and N54/N55 what model (reg) did this change?

Are realistically what is town driving MPG, been looking at 123d's but if they are around 30 then I could be tempted with the 135i
