thats bloody excellent for that size/power.  Is that town driving ?  I like looking at real world figures.

It really isnt bad if true - the 2.0TSI engine only gets around 26-28 round town (short trips), 20 if you have some fun.

General bobbing around A and B roads, so lots of gear changes 30-50mph usage - I get 320-340 miles to 50lts.

Really shocked.

Like the idea of the latest dual clutch but not looking that new.  I take it the older auto is still pretty good.

Sorry about all the Q's just a great forum to ask on - probably why we are all still here.

Neg - I echo Mike's comments with regards mpg. I average 30mpg in mine at min and that is a combination of motorway driving mixed with back road hooning and town pottering.
Round town you'll be looking at around mid 20's with sensible driving.. N55 is slightly better on the motion lotion compared to the N54, but we are only talking 2mpg at most I would think. Mike must be getting old going off his mpg figures for an N54 :surprised: :signLOL:

Early DCT cars start on a 10 plate (possibly 59) and its a great box. Not driven the earlier Auto box, but by all accounts it's a decent bit of kit.
Ŵhats your budget?

Mine is £20k.

It's between this or a Megane 250 on a 60 plate.  I'm guessing I can get an 08/58.

They are so hard to find in the right spec

Down to its rarity unfortunately mate.. Don't give up trying though, they're well worth the wait

Meg 250 is a fantastic choice also to be fair, just a completely different car to the 1er. I dare say you will lose slightly more in depreciation on one though..
What spec are you after bud (N54/55, manual/DCT, colour, options etc) I'll keep my eyes peeled for you..

I guess it'll have to be N54 within my budget

Will the manual be okay clutch wise if I want to take it to 400hp+?  I would prefer manual if I'm honest.

Then, ideally:

- Grey, white or black
- Red Leather (PIMP)
- iDrive
- Xenons
- Heated Seats

I found a black one with Lemon leather but not so sure...

The Meg I can get up to about 330hp and is great fun to drive too, but as you say will hurt me depreciation wise...

My 135i Might be for sale:

2008
N54 with step auto
Satnav/leather/xenons/bilstein/Remus/quaife diff/ and more
Sparkling graphite

The car is literally in mint condition, would hate to sell as I absolutely love it but it really doesn't get used, has done less than 2k miles in the last 7 months. It's having a major service next week with new discs, pads, coolant, brake fluid etc...

I totally forgot about your PM!

Is that going to be <£20k?  What colour leather is it please?  Any pics?
