This is a LOT of car for the money

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3039064.htm

Its a shame they look crap! The designer looks as if he couldnt stop added bits onto it or creating new lines, seats are nice though!
your the only guy ive ever heard say they dont like the look ! you must be special

Looks pretty tidy to me.

I have driven a few, they feel typically French inside and drive quite well. I just cant understand why they opted to make the visibility from the drivers seat so poor, may as well have not bothered fitting a rear or side windows.

IMO the Rocco looks better than the golf, but that meganne looks much better than the rocco.   Big fan of these new Megannes.

Good to see a company doing big changes to their designs instead of just a rear tailgate and headlight swap.

Plus.... if your driving a 250 around a track, no-one will be overtaking you anyway... no need to give way!  :popcornsoda:

New Megane Cup is the GT3 RS of the hot hatch world as far as chassis dynamics and handling.

Having owned many Veed dub's out of the box they can't compete.....a bitter pill maybe but the VW's especially the MK5 is a big tep forward from previous MK's...but VW need to take a look at Renaultsport.....or are they realllly bothered?? Look at their heavy R model's....aimed at a different market. They need a light weight car wit a diff and good power to weight......sadly I can't see it happening.

Still would n't buy Megane.....prefer an E46 M3 with some proper brakes and suspension.
Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)
Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.

I don't think VW are bothered about a megane being able to do 'B to G' in 7:XX mins or what ever it is  :signLOL:

Is not where VWs market is placed.

as said in the previous post...VW aren't aiming for the same market as the Renaultsports...i considered an R26.6 but decided that i didnt want hardcore after the impreza so came back to VW fold...always come back to Golfs!  there's no doubting the amazing talents of the RS cars, but they are very niche.  the GTi et al are so well rounded and far easier to live with on a daily basis.

The Golf is defo a well rounded car but its a Gti ain't it? For me personally I buy a hot hatch because its sporty and I want it to be an event everytine I get in it and drive. That's what I miss about the CTR I had previously. But then I love the well rounded appeal of the Golf.

I sometimes think the Golf is a little to rounded for my tastes but I still love it. I will however be seriously considering one of the above as my next car and have for sometime now.

I really like these. Maybe not buy one because im not racing all the time and normally just pottering around so when i want to have a blast down an A road the eddy is just fine! Still want to find a Focus RS to have a little play with!

Mate, you should chew a Focus RS up and spit it out with your mods.. Even a modded one..

Alreeet, ive driven a rs250 cup and my rstuned stg1 r26, both are unreal around corners and have good power to get you from a2b, ive took heavyd for a spin if he's on here, he can tell you what theyre like.  :driver:
I can vouch the megane r26 handles better than my golf does :driver:
Guess the LSD makes a big difference. Considering the cheapskate has £20 a corner budget tyres on aswell, would be interesting to see what decent tyres could do to the handling :rolleye:
