Audi S2 (retro s2)
« on: August 31, 2011, 01:58:36 pm »
Anyone here ever had one, the 2.2 5cylinder turbo?

What was it like? Fun car? Have always wanted one as the UrQuattros are out of reach for a half decent example so this is like the closest I would get to owning one. Also when all decalled up you could pretend that its kinda like a road legal Audi IMSA GTO.  :signLOL:

I would molest it though, gutted to the shell and a BT to around 450hp would be nice.

Good idea, bad idea? Or is it perhaps one of those cars Id better just lust after from a distance, than actually own one as it might not live up to my expectations? Granted im expecting it to be understeery and wooly, TBH lol.

I picked a brand new one up on august 1st 1992 with my uncle, always remember that, back then it seemed mad fast, I still think they look so cool, I had a 2.8 coupe for a while and it was such a nice place to be, but as you say it would feel very soft by today's standard but does that matter for a toy? I would have a mint one in a breath.
BMW 335d msport touring lci. Auto, estate and diesel! Oh no

I don't know much about how the handle etc, but I do love the look of them - they've aged really well.

I'm sure there's loads of RS2 bits bolt on, along with aftermarket stuff. Do it.

Preeeeety car.

Sideways yo!

A neighbour of mine is selling a 2.8 v6 quattro if your interested. Its metallic green with cream leather. Lowered on Kw coils with Borbet As. Looks a really classy motor.

Mates got one to run about in whilst he sorted his BT conversion on his B5.

It's a good example and for sale soon

Here's his build thread for the A4
