Hey guys, sorry to butt in, @ Phil- i'm disappointed to hear Racepads were not very supportive.....so to anyone with a different clutch / flywheel setup: (Dave @PDT) Which is the best all round set up for a stage 2+ putting out around 360+hp. AMD say Sachs.....some say SPEC are the way to go others say they aren't so great.....sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

My uprated Sachs slips like described in the 1st post.
Stage2+ ed30 on dmf.

Thinking of going southbend 'silent' smf kit soon unless there are any better recommendation?

Southbend silent isn't always silent and weighs more than the dmf setup which is how they try to get the noise down.  The fit isn't the best and as with most American made clutch kits they feel cheap.

Sachs single mass kits seem to be good.  Still not the best for clamping power and they are very expensive.

Competition clutch is poor with rubbish customer service and warranty.  90 days iirc.  Material overheats AMD sticks the friction plate to the flywheel.  Also happens with the southbend setups.

SPEC - AVOID at all costs.  Snapped the rivets off them before.  Also crap customer service.  Ask Keith at Apr about his spec experiences over the years.

Helix imo are still the best.  UK based so you can talk to them easily on the phone.  Manufacture their own pressure plate covers that are a work of art along with the flywheels and friction/drive plates.  Only had one issue with one clutch where a spring broke.  Got a new plate under warranty no problem.  I've been using their 6 paddle single mass for nearly 2 years now.  Stiff pedal but the new covers they do are lighter, but hold more pressure somehow.

Have you had any experience of the loba set-up

And do you sell the helix kits? If so can you pm me the price please of the kit you'd recommend for my spec.

Cheers for the help

Sure you haven't just glazed the organic plate? This can cause slip... About 1000miles can bring it back in... Speak to Sachs distributor Ed @ APS Brackley... He will advise...

I think the main K04 issue with the clutches is the mad boost spike when on 2 or 2+, I'm not trying to defend Sachs here at all because what they charge just for a clutch they should hold up a lot better.
I'm trying the Loba orgasmic in the next few weeks, not tried one before so can't comment yet.
The full kit inc single mass flywheel is 900 ish euros I think
Ill Let you know my honest op when it's in sure RobH will too
