Removal of front badge..
« on: August 31, 2011, 10:07:07 am »
I know this will probably be just about the simplest of all modifications, so please forgive my ignorance  :ashamed: But what is the best way to remove the front VW badge without breaking anything?? Is it as simple as just pulling it off, or do I need to remove other parts to get to it from behind..so to speak..

Help!

I think you remove the grill and pop it out from behind, something like that, either way its not to hard.

Yup, front grill off, pop the bonnet 2 x torx screws on the slam panel, then another 2 x torx screwa just below the number plate holder.  :happy2:

if its just the badge you want to remove (and not grille as well) then its twist and turn to remove

I tried that method with mine, and it was so stiff it nearly broke the clips......

Push and twist for me. Worked fine and saved removing the grille. I placed a flat palm of my hand on it and turned it that way. That way you aren't using loads of pressure to turn it and risk snapping the clips.......and if you do, reach for the loctite!
